Sara is a dedicated Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counselling Therapy at Yorkville University.
Sara’s therapeutic approach encompasses various modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Approaches, and Gestalt Therapy. Her client focus extends to individuals, couples, and adolescents aged 16 and above. Sara addresses a broad spectrum of issues, such as reducing social anxiety, boosting self-confidence, cultivating healthier relationships, navigating academic and career demands, managing stress and anxiety, and handling diverse challenges like grief, loss, abuse, and trauma.
With a passion for aiding personal growth and mental well-being, Sara combines her academic pursuits with real-world experience to provide compassionate and effective therapeutic support to individuals and communities.
With a background spanning over 5 years in the healthcare industry, she has offered patient experience at a multidisciplinary Rehabilitation clinic, assisting individuals seeking physical treatment. Sara excelled in communicating and understanding patients’ needs, even in an environment primarily focused on physical well-being, often addressing anxiety and confusion surrounding the recovery process.
In addition to her clinical work, Sara volunteered for a crisis hotline, providing invaluable emotional support and guidance to those grappling with emotional conflicts and suffering. This experience enhanced her ability to leverage community resources and comprehend the diverse aspects of mental health support.
