Hanna Anderson, MACP, B.A. (Hons) in Psychology, RP (Qualifying)
Problem: We all need support from time to time. But when it comes to getting support, people often feel as though they don’t know where to look or how to proceed. Furthermore, people are often unaware of the different kinds of supports available to them that might best meet their needs at that moment.
Solution: As a novice psychotherapist, I bring a fresh perspective and a genuine passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I take a holistic and integrative approach so that I can provide you with an individualized treatment tailored to meet your specific needs.
Result: In my practice, I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Together, we will collaborate to explore your experiences, identify patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and identify achievable therapeutic goals.
Experience: Hanna is an RP (Q) completing her internship at TalkWise. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology. From her education, she has cultivated a strong foundation in various therapeutic approaches and counselling techniques. Furthermore, she is in good standing with and a member of both the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
The majority of Hanna’s experience in the field of psychotherapy consists of volunteer work. However, Hanna compensates for her lack of professional experience with a genuine desire to learn, and support others as they navigate and overcome life’s obstacles. Furthermore, her diverse life experiences that led her to seek psychotherapy as a client herself, have provided her with firsthand knowledge of what it is like to be a client attempting to navigating life’s many unique challenges. This exposure has deepened Hanna’s sense of empathy and understanding, enabling her to connect with individuals from various backgrounds with sensitivity and respect. And is what ultimately motivated her to become an RP, so that she can assist others in effectively navigating life’s challenges, as she has done and continues to do.
